420 law violators nabbed, over 9000 grams of illegal drugs seized in weeklong police operation in Central Luzon
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — A total of 420 persons were arrested during a weeklong anti-criminality campaign of the Central Luzon police.
Police Regional Office 3 Director Brigadier General Jose S Hidalgo Jr. also reported that about 9,435.53 grams of various illegal drugs P63,591 cash bets were seized in the course of their campaign from June 12 to June 18.
Of the 420 arrested, 137 of them are wanted with strings of warrants ranging from murder, rape, and frustrated murder.
Nabbed for illegal drugs were 149 pushers-users, while 114 were accosted for illegal gambling. There were 15 who were arrested for illegal possession of firearms, while five were apprehended for violation of other special laws.
Also, the police confiscated 62 assorted firearms, including 9,435.53 grams of shabu and marijuana with a Dangerous Drug Board value of P3,404,986.40.
BGen. Hidalgo said that the accomplishments are the result of a timely coordination, intelligence-driven operations of different police units, and strong support of local officials and the private sector in the region.
