World GameMaster Tournament 2010 Finals

The Philippines’ best gamers are all anticipating their final battle for the World GameMaster Title on July 17 at Cyberzone, SM Manila.

Four teams topped other Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare gamers last June 26 at the preliminaries at Mineski Infinity Cyber Café. Teams TFK-S, TFK-R, Q and UX2 will need to compete once again for the final round to see who will win the P100,000 cash prize. The second placer will get P50,000 while the third place team will take home P25,000.

A fifteen thousand cash prize will be awarded to one of the eight semi-finalists who will win the Street Fighter 4 round. David Algarme, Andrew Martinez, Santa, Andre Quiray, Marc Madle, Jobe Franco, Ben Gonzales and Luigi Pensotes all showed their best fighting moves at BO’s Coffee, Glorietta 5 last July 4.

They will again need to show off their skills at the Street Fighter 4 finals using the new ASUS N61Jv multimedia notebook.

These gamers will also get to experience top-notch hardware in the competition. ASUS, the recommended hardware sponsor has prepared the ultimate Intel Core i7 gaming rig using the ASUS P7P55D LE motherboard and the ASUS EAH5750 Formula video graphics card.

A special media tournament will also take place during the finals. Editors, writers, bloggers and even press photographers can show off their skills at Street Fighter 4 to get a chance to win an ASUS UL 30 notebook. The audience will also be treated to a special Cos Play competition featuring their favorite.
