‘Hole in the Wall’ makes big comeback

Now on its second week is “Hole in the Wall,” the craziest game show on primetime which made a big comeback on GMA Telebabad last July 5. Hosted once again by multi-awarded comedians Michael V. and Ogie Alcasid, the popular segment-turned-worldwide craze “Hole in the Wall” is on for another season of body-bending and mind-twisting entertainment.

This time, Michael and Ogie will assume new and different characters every week.

Two teams with three players each must face various walls speeding towards them with crazy-shaped holes. If they fail to fit through the holes, they are knocked back by the wall into a pool of water. Every week, a celebrity will join the players as team captain and 3rd player of the group.

The show is now aired Monday to Friday right before “Langit sa Piling Mo.”

2 noted violinists in concert at FEU

Violinists Regina Buenaventura and Diomedes Saraza, Jr. will celebrate the realization of their dream of becoming world-class musicians via their concert dubbed “My Dreams for My Children” to be staged on July 18 at the FEU Auditorium in Manila.

The concert is sponsored by Standard Insurance.

At a young age, both of them already nurtured the dream to become world-class musicians. Regina was seven when she discovered her love for the violin.

Also part of a musical family, Diomedes – Dio to his friends – grew up hearing his father and brother playing the violin. He started learning it himself at the age of three, with his father as his first teacher. He then took up further studies in violin under the Philippine Research for Developing Instrumental Soloists program at St. Scholastica’s College-Manila.

Since starting their musical studies, the two have gone on to make waves both here and abroad. Both have won first place in the National Music Competition for Young Artists.

“My Dreams for My Children” will showcase all that Regina and Dio have learned on their musical journeys so far. They will be accompanied by the Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO), conducted by Prof. Arturo Molina.
