Original “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame said his return to the show is still uncertain despite rumors that he is set to reclaim the job on July 31.

“Di ko pa alam [kung kelan ako babalik]. Madami pang kumokontra,” he said in an interview aired on TV5 showbiz talk show, “Paparazzi,” July 18.

Revillame and ABS-CBN agreed a couple of months ago for him to go on an indefinite leave in the wake of the controversy involving the host and entertainment journalist Jobert Sucaldito. The controversy stemmed from Revillame getting miffed by Sucaldito’s alleged disparaging remarks about “Wowowee” which prompted the former to challenge the network on air to choose between them.

Revillame admitted during the interview that he met with ABS-CBN executive Charo Santos on July 13 which seemingly indicates the strong possibility that he could still have the last laugh on the matter.

“Pinagusapan namin kung ano yung mga dapat gawin at mga dapat ayusin…ang itutuwid kung nagkamali…kung may pagkakamali, dapat magpatawad sa isa’t-isa… from there, panibagong meeting [na uli].”

The TV host reiterated that he is not desperate to return to the show.

“Pag gusto nila [ABS-CBN] ako bumalik, andito pa din naman ako pero kung ayaw na, di na ako babalik.”

Ulitamtely, Revillame said, the decision on the matter neither lies in his hands nor ABS-CBN’s.

“Ang magdedesisyon… tao pa rin. Basta, malalaman naman nila.”
