Filipinos are not merely everywhere in the world. They are achievers wherever they go. The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), through its BPInoy Awards, continues to empower and encourage Overseas Filipinos to be excellent in their chosen field of endeavor abroad.

The BPInoy Awards fosters cultural excellence and nationalistic pride of Filipinos by its continuous recognition of Overseas Filipino Achievers. The award hopes to spur nationalism and celebrate excellence of Filipinos in the global platform.

“Through the BPInoy Awards, BPI aims to commend deserving Filipinos and attest to the country and the world that Filipinos are globally competitive,” says Teresita Tan, BPI SVP and Group Head of Overseas Banking and Channel Services Group.

On its 5th year, the search for BPInoy Awardee once again calls for nomination of outstanding Overseas Filipinos who have elevated the culture and pride of Filipinos with their exceptional contribution in the community.

Individuals of Filipino heritage, regardless of current citizenship, and of good moral character, may be nominated for their outstanding achievements as long as they have lived and or worked overseas. All nominees will be evaluated by the BPInoy Awards Steering Committee based on criteria that include top-of-mind awareness and societal impact of achievements, among others. Two awardees will be chosen for The Arts and Media or Sports Category and Business or Science and Technology Category.
