There is, however, a few things we must mention about the Nokia 6700 Slide. First, we've learned that getting this phone will not burn a hole in your pocket.

A stunner who's not trying to impress deserves a Nokia 6700 Slide, another well Finnish designed slider packed with many technologies and built in features that makes communication an easy and fun experience.

We don't know much about the other brands, but based on our experience, Nokia has done well above average in the assembly of slide mechanisms in its many phones. We've tried several sliders, and we usually take the solid "thunk" sound as our first positive impression. The "thunk" we heard right in the Nokia 6700 Slide.

The slide opening mechanism in the Nokia 6700 Slide works well with the selection of different colored casing you can pick from to best suit your style -- aluminium finish, petrol blue, red, purple, lime or a pink colored casing.

Okay, keep on dreaming, but this time complete with the 6700 Slide's many features like a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, a music player, video player, Web browser, 3G HSDPA and HSUPA. This handset supports a Symbian operating system version 9.3 with its S60 software.

The Nokia 6700 Slide is a fairly compact handset when in its slide closed position as it only measures 9.52cm tall, 4.61cm wide & 1.59cm deep. At 110 grams, the handset sports a solid feel. Its casing is of high quality materials which feel good to hold.

The 6700 Slide has a 2.2 inch colour TFT screen which displays up to 16 million colors and below this screen is the handsets external keys which consist of call keys, a home key, menu selection keys, which all surround its large and user friendly navigation control beautifully. Opening the handset will reveal its neatly designed keypad.

The 6700 camera feature comes with a variety of image capturing and video recording settings. A LED flash will add light to darker environments and an automatic focus can be activated allowing the user to gain a clearly focused picture. You can also record video footage at up to 15 frames per second, which can be stored or shared with others via the phones messaging services.

There is a front facing camera for 3G video call. You can playback videos in MPEG4, WMV, 3GP and RV format and enjoy playing games. The built in radio or music player are easily accessed via the phones main menu. The integrated music player supports a wide selection of music playback formats and the FM radio comes with easy to use radio settings.

The integrated Internet browser allows for accessing the Web for information and services. Its 3G HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE provide the user with high speed connectivity and fast data transfers rates.
