TUGUEGARAO CITY — Cagayan veterinarians, fishery officials and local residents jointly rescued three injured dolphins stranded off along the shorelines in Barangay Palawig, Sta. Ana town this province over the weekend, it was reported last Sunday.

Dr. Elma Bermudez, a veterinary doctor trained at Ocean Adventure on Marine Mammal Stranding, learned about the presence of wounded dolphins from the bureau of fisheries employee Nelson Morales, a resident of Barangay Palawig, Sta. Ana town.

Bermudez proceeded to the shoreline and saw the group of dolphins encircling their wounded “companions.’’
