Hot weather will prevail over most of the archipelago due to the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The easterlies may also bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Palawan, which may cause flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.
Isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may also affect the rest of the country, except for Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
PAGASA said the northeast monsoon, or amihan, has temporarily weakened but may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
It warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. (Lizst Torres Abello)
