Hot weather conditions, rains to prevail in some parts of PH due to easterlies, 'amihan'
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday, Nov. 6, said the easterlies caused the humid weather conditions and rains in parts of the country while the northeast monsoon or "amihan" still affects Northern Luzon.

PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will persist in Palawan due to the easterlies --- the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
A high chance of rains will be expected in the eastern Visayas and nearby areas that include the Bicol Region, Caraga Region, and Samar due to easterlies, said PAGASA.
PAGASA said possible flash floods or landslides may occur in affected areas due to moderate to heavy rains.
In Batanes and Babuyan Islands, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced caused by the northeast monsoon or "amihan."
Meanwhile, in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will be expected due to localized thunderstorms
PAGASA also warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. (Lizst Torres Abello)
