Megawide tapped to build Belle’s $1.3-billion casino hotel
Fast rising construction company Megawide Construction Corp. Wednesday announced that it bagged the construction contract for the P1.30 billion Belle Hotel Casino in Parañaque City.
The project, once completed, will become the country’s largest casino that will also feature a high-end 15-floors, two tower hotel, four 25-floors condominium towers, and state-of-the-art convention center.
Megawide said the project is a first of its kind in the country and is expected to bring heavy tourism traffic to the country and employment once completed.
The Belle Hotel Casino will have a total floor area of 300,000 square meters and later on can be expanded as total land area can be stretched to five hectares.
Megawide said it is currently setting up the foundation for the project with phase 1 consisting of the casino floors and one of the hotel towers expected to be completed in 12 months. Megawide expects that it will be the fastest built casino in the country.
The construction is going on a faster than normal pace because of the methodologies it is using including the use of precast walls for the exterior and precast beams and girders which are also post-tensioned.
The casino will be patterned after those operating in Las Vegas and will also incorporate Macau’s Venetian type finishing while the hotel will have a Planet Hollywood theme.
Megawide said they were assigned the project because it presented the most viable cost and schedule. The construction company believes the project is the start of a long-term partnership with Belle Corp.
Belle Corp. is one of the country’s leading developer of high-end residential and leisure properties.
Formed in 1997, Megawide has a Triple A license from the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board and is known for its quality workmanship, on-time delivery of projects, excellent construction safety standard and advanced state-of-the-art building systems.
