MAMBAJAO, Camiguin Province – A P10-million “Bagsakan Complex” is set to rise in this capital town of Camiguin province in Northern Mindanao, officials said Thursday.

This complex will serve as the major commercial and trading center in this “Lanzones” province.

The “Bagsakan Complex” will house the agricultural, fishery and other products which will make a single and direct market linkage between producers and consumers, officials said.

Mambajao Mayor Maria Luisa Romualdo said the construction of this complex will start before the end of the year.

“This complex will be the backbone of the economy where major products in the province are soon to be housed,” said Romualdo.

“This will also bring goods to the public at a cheaper cost,” he added.

The bulk of the fund of this new complex will come from the Department of Agriculture (DA) with counterpart funds from the local government unit of Mambajao and the provincial government.

The complex will house at least seven stalls measuring almost 300 square meters each.
