Manila cuts time for getting building permits
Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim has announced that the processing period of building permits in Manila has been narrowed down from 15 days to just three days.
City Administrator Jay Marzan disclosed that Lim has instructed city building official engineer Melvin Balagot, city panning chief Rodolfo Catu, and other concerned officials to shorten the time frame wherein building applicants would get their permits.
Normally, the issuance of building permits takes around 15 days, depending on how fast the applicant complies with all the requirements. However, Balagot clarified that the three-day period would be achievable only if the applicants have in their possession the necessary requirements and have paid all regulatory fees.
