Highlands Prime Inc., the high-end property development arm of the SM group, is spending P2 billion to put up two more residential projects inside its sprawling Tagaytay Highlands property.

HPI chairman Henry Sy Jr. said the two new projects, The Woodlands Phase II and The Glass Terraces at the Midlands, will be in line with the firm’s aim of creating world-class recreational and leisure residential communities.

In both projects, HPI integrated home-style living with resort facilities, while being nestled in the cool, clean mountainous atmosphere that Tagaytay Highlands is known for.

HPI is putting up two new condominium towers at Woodridge Place at a cost of around P800 million. The Linden and Mahogany towers will will sit at the highest point in the Highlands complex at 2,000 feet above sea level.

On the other hand, The Glass Terrace, a mid-rise condominium project, will have five 10-storey buildings with 100 units each, to be sold at an average of P75,000 per square meter (sq.m.), HPI vice president for fiannce Roel B. Parian.

The buildings will occupy 4,586 sq.m. in a 9.6-hectare lot owned by the company.

“The condominium design utilized glass extensively, through large windows and doors in each of the 500 units to maximize natural sunlight and wind, resulting in significant energy cost savings,” HPI said.

HPI vice chairman Willy Ocier said it will take the company two-and-a-half to three years to complete the two projects.

“These two projects are expected to augment and reinforce Highland Prime’s sales performance, together with existing projects,” Sy said.
