Pasig gov't to open business one-stop shop in Robinsons Metro East

The Pasig City local government will soon open a business one-stop shop (BOSS) in Robinsons Metro East mall to further ease business transactions and cater to the businesses in the northern part of the city.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and Vice Mayor Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr., along with Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) executives, inspected on Saturday, Nov. 19, the location of the planned one-stop shop at the third floor of the mall.

The BOSS in Robinsons Metro East will serve Pasig business owners residing in the city’s northern quadrant which includes Barangays Manggahan, Santolan, Dela Paz, and Sta. Lucia.

“Mas marami itong maseserbisyuhan kumpara sa kasalukuyang Manggahan Annex (This will be able to serve more compared to the existing BOSS at Manggahan Annex),” Sotto said in a social media post.

The installation of the BOSS in the Metro East mall will be more convenient to taxpayers, he added, noting the site’s spaciousness, the walkway that connects the mall and the Light Rail Transit (LRT-2), and the building’s available parking.

The local government opened its first BOSS site at the Ayala Malls 30th in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City last January 2021.

A memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed between the local government and Ayala Malls on Sept. 8, 2022 to expand the BOSS service center within the mall.

Prior to the proposed expansion, the Ayala 30th BOSS was capable of serving businesses only from Barangays Ugong and San Antonio. The expansion targets the inclusion of clients from Barangays Oranbo, Kapitolyo, and Pineda.

BOSS sites are being installed by the local government in various parts of Pasig to ease the application and renewal process of business permits and licences, decongest public transactions in the city hall, as well as help reduce red tape in government transactions.

Prior to the inspection of the planned BOSS, Sotto and Jaworski attended the mall’s Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.

Together with the executives of the RLC and Barangay Dela Paz Chairman Isidro Mariano, the city officials also turned over school supplies and portable sound systems to the Dela Paz Elementary School and Sto. Nino Elementary School.

The ceremony also included performances from singer Elha Nympha, and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig Himig Chorale (PLPHC).
