MSU cited as performing SCU facility

MARAWI CITY – The Professional Regulation Commission – Regulatory Board for Social Workers lauded the Mindanao State University (MSU) here for ranking No. 2 as a performing school among state colleges and universities (SCUs) all over the country, with 93 examinees and 92 percent passing rate in the June 2010 Social Workers Licensure Examination.

In an letter addressed to the Dean of the College of Public Affairs and forwarded to MSU president Dr. Macapado A. Muslim, Chairman Lorna C. Gabad of Professional Regulatory Board for Social Workers stated that the school will be awarded and recognized during oath-taking ceremonies of the new Social Workers on August 6 at the historic landmark Manila Hotel at 1 p.m.

“One complementary ticket will be provided to your school representative who will attend this occasion,” Gabad stated in her letter.

Earlier the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 770 out of 1,321 passed the Social Worker Licensure Examination given by the Board for Social Workers.

Meanwhile, in an interview, Muslim told Manila Bulletin that a graduate of agriculture at the MSU-Marawi campus identified as Josephine Aguanta scored 87.50 percent, and topped the 972 agriculturists who passed the licensure examination.
