Police arrested a drunk man after he yelled at and threatened customers and an employee of a restaurant in Barangay Paang Bundok, Quezon City early Friday morning, April 14.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the suspect as Wealthon Ngo, 56, a resident of Brgy. 354, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
According to the police report, the suspect, who was under the influence of liquor, went to the restaurant at around 1:30 a.m.
Police said the suspect shouted at Rochelle, 31, a server in the restaurant, demanding her to take his order first.
Fernandez told Ngo to wait for his turn, but the suspect again yelled at her and called for the restaurant’s manager.
Before leaving the area, Ngo threw a plastic bottle of soy sauce at Fernandez and told her that he would return.
After a few minutes, the suspect went back to the restaurant and looked for the server. Other customers approached and tried to pacify him but he challenged them to a fist fight.
This prompted one of the customers to call the police.
Members of the QCPD La Loma Station responded and saw the suspect shouting in the area.
Ngo also told the policemen that he has a gun and will shoot them.
When the lawmen were about to arrest him, he rode his gold Toyota Camry sedan and fled towards Blumentritt Extension. A brief chase ensued.
The suspect was arrested in front of an apartelle near A. Bonifacio Avenue.
He will be charged with resistance and disobedience to a person in authority, alarm and scandal, and light threats before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, police said.
