Palace vows justice for Filipina who was found dead in Abu Dhabi
The Philippine government has vowed to seek justice for the death of a Filipino worker in the United Arab Emirates and extend assistance to her family.

Mary Anne Daynolo, 30-year-old hotel receptionist in Abu Dhabi, was recently found dead after being reported missing since March 2020. Her remains have been repatriated to the country over the weekend.
"Ang pangako ng Presidente ay mabibigyan ng hustiya at katarungan ang pagkamatay ng ating kababayan na si Mary Anne Daynolo (The promise of the President is to give justice for the death of our countryman Mary Anne Daynolo)," Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said during a televised press briefing.
Roque said the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) would provide the appropriate aid, including financial help, to the family of Daynolo.
May autopsy nangyayari nagyon sa panig ng NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) (For now, OWWA is extending assistance to the family of Mary Anne. In fact, OWWA helped to secure an autopsy to help obtain justice for her death. There will also be an autopsy conducted by the NBI)," he said.
They will also receive financial assistance and death benefits from OWWA at the proper time. But for now, we are focused on seeking justice for the death of Mary Anne Daynolo)," he said.
Asked if the government will review the OFW deployment to UAE following the death of Daynolo, Roque assured that the government will continue to provide protection for Filipino migrant workers.
Our plere is we won’t fall short of giving education to our countrymen on what to do and what not to do when they are working abroad. We will also continue to provide service if they become a victim of crime)," he said.
