Another day passed when the number of new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases reached more than 9,500 as the spread of the coronavirus in the so-called National Capital Region (NCR)-plus continued.

As of late Saturday afternoon, March 27, 2021, there was talk that tighter, stricter restrictions will be imposed in a bid to arrest the proliferation of the viral disease.
