After declaring her decision to be inactive on social networking sites, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino surprised her followers by tweeting anew on Aug. 8.

“I'm back! Y? Because we live in a democracy & I'm allowed to use my voice. I promise to be prudent & not be motivated by anger or hate. Will try to be kind & mature. I'm SO BACK. Love love love!!!” her first "comeback" tweet read that night.

As before, Kris updated her Twitter followers about the latest happenings in her family life. She may not have posted something controversial and headline-hogging (so far), but she did reveal that her brother, Pres. Noynoy Aquino, had fever.

“We had tickets na for Tekken. Watched Sat night, bimby (her son Baby James) loved it, repeat viewing sana. Sinwerte ang PSG (Presidential Security Group), gave them the tickets para naman makapag date sila,” she continued.

The actress-host also thanked her followers, who, as of this writing, have reached 282, 314.

“Wow, I'm amazed there r still my almost 300K followers! Thank u!!! Will sleep na, normally asleep by 10 PM. Wake up at 6:30 everyday. Bagong buhay,” her last post for the night read.

Kris decided to be inactive on Twitter as well as on Facebook last June in order to live a quieter, less controversial life while Pres. Noy governs the country.

She was prompted to do so when one of her last tweets (before her Twitter dormancy)---about having a “big misunderstanding” with estranged husband James Yap---not only made for top news the day after she posted it, but it became a topic during P-Noy’s press conference.

What also strengthened Kris’ decision to leave the sites was her earlier announcement to leave showbiz talk shows “The Buzz” and “Showbiz News Ngayon” (also last June). “It doesn't make sense for me to leave SNN & Buzz & keep this avenue open for people to speculate & judge,” read a part of her post on June 18, the day she announced she will no longer be active on Twitter.

Although Kris said that she had her accounts on Twitter and Facebook closed, they were not deleted. Her official Facebook fan page---which has 924, 089 “likes” as of this writing---has remained quite active, what with updates from her administrators, such as a photo album of P-Noy’s Inauguration and a photo teaser of Kris’ new show, “Pilipinas Win Na Win.”

Apart from her revealing tweet about her marital life, several other of Kris' posts became hot topics. These include her “super banged my head at 1:30 AM.” shower accident (in February); her politically-driven reaction on former “Buzz” co-host Ruffa Gutierrez’s being pulled out on the show (March); her defense of Bimby’s popular “Villar!” slip during his uncle Noy’s sortie (April); and the seeming swipe against boxing champ Manny Pacquiao for his alleged critical remark against P-Noy in a campaign ad for his presidential bet Manny Villar (May).

And true to her word of being so back and active on the social microblogging site, she posted another tweet in the early morning of Aug. 9:

“Good morning. Early call sa Win na Win, rehearsing Perfect Combination, new game at 9 AM. Take note, may semi dance number component yung segment. Good luck to me!”
