Bulacan Medical Center receives new CT scan machine from DOH

The Bulacan Medical Center has received a new computed tomography (CT) scan machine from the Department of Health (DOH), Central Luzon Center for Health Development, and United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) under the Asian Development Bank-Funded Health System Enhancement.

The provincial government said that the turnover ceremony for the machine on Monday, Nov. 13, was attended by Bulacan Provincial Health Officer Dr. Hjordis Marushka B. Celis, Chief of Hospital II Dr. Angelito D. Trinidad, UNOPS Senior Project Manager Richard Mugacha, DOH Assistant Secretary Leonita P. Gorgolon, Central Luzon Center for Health Development Regional Director Corazon I. Flores, United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Country Manager Oscar Marenco, BMC employees, and Bulacan Provincial DOH staff.

With its advanced medical imaging capabilities, the new CT scan machine is positioned to go beyond traditional diagnostic methods and initiate a transformative phase of improved healthcare accessibility for Bulakenyos.

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando in his message delivered by Provincial Administrator Antonette V. Constantino said that having new medical equipment ensures the continuous improvement of health care system in the province.

The continuous upgrading of health and medical services in BMC is in line with the goals of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. in terms of achieving Universal Health Care, thus ensuring high-quality, affordable, and easily accessible health services and facilities for every Bulakenyo, the provincial government said.
