Entire family perishes in Bulacan fire

A couple and their two children died after they were trapped inside their burning home in El Pueblo Del Rio Subdivision, Barangay Caypombo, Sta Maria, Bulacan, on Tuesday, Aug. 8.

The victims were identified as Roy Lozano, 40, his wife Marie Rose Caparas-Lozano, 40; and their two children aged 13 and 12.

The Lozano couple were high school sweethearts back in 2001 and they were blessed with two children.

 
The Bureau of Fire Protection said that faulty electrical wiring was the cause of the fire which started at around 3 a.m. on Aug. 8

Neighbors of the victims said they tried to put out the fire that gutted the first floor of the house but failed.

The windows of the house had metal grills.
