Michael Madsen, a Hollywood actor who’s the lead star of the movie “Outrage,” is in town to promote it, along with fellow Hollywood actor Ace Cruz who also wrote and directed the movie. Madsen said he is very excited to be in the Philippines.

It’s not Madsen’s first time to come here though. He was in the Philippines some years back to shoot a movie with Ciro Santiago in Tagaytay. Madsen remembers his stay very well especially the “good” coffee he had there. It was Gourmet’s Philippine Premium Coffee which incidentally was the presentor of the red-carpet premiere night of “Outrage” last Aug. 14 at the SM Megamall Cinema 1. Other presentors that night were Refreshers and Harry’s Bar.

While in the Philippines, Madsen will do press rounds. He will be appearing on TV shows as well as radio programs. He will also be endorsing the video release of “Outrage” next month. Madsen, according to his good friend Ace, will also go to Boracay to enjoy the beaches there before he goes back to the US on Aug. 27.

“Outrage” also stars Michael Berryman (“Hills Have Eyes,” “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”), Natasha Lyonne (“American Pie,” “Slums of Beverly Hills”), and Pauly D. “Outrage” is a sci-fi thriller with a “spiritual message” according to Ace.

“My overall message for the film is summarized in the Law of Attraction. What we have in our hearts is what we attract in our lives,” Ace said about “Outrage” that already won the Best Sci-fi Movie at the Pasadena Film Festival.

Aside from producing, directing, writing and acting in his movies, Ace is right now trying his hands on the international theater scene. He is trying to build a name in the US with his films. Part of his immediate plans is making a movie in the Philippines for an international release.
