Eager for higher learning, music star Charice Pempengco has enrolled herself in an online course, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. The school is the Southern New Hampshire University based in Boston, Massachusetts.

In an earlier interview, Pempengco said she hopes to become a lawyer someday. Charice’s fans commended her decision.

“Really, you have to stay in school, no matter how successful this is, it could end at any time so you have to have something as back up,” said Jim Lee, a Chaster (what members of Charice’s fanbase collectively call themselves).

Pempengco is busy as ever with her career in show business. Just recently she walked the ramp to model clothes for Macy’s mall in New York. She appeared on stage together with the stars of Nickelodeon’s popular teen group “Big Time Rush,” as well as with YouTube sensation, Josh Golden.

Pempengco is also set to appear as a recurring guest in the second season of the popular US TV show, “Glee.”
