Professional performer Marissa Joelle to compete in Mrs. Universe 2023 pageant

  • Marissa is currently busy in Japan preparing for the Mrs Universe Pageant. She is also one of the lead stars for the upcoming film BL (Boy Love) Series entitled "On-Line In Love" that will be directed by Jag Cruz from Mabuhay PH Digital Network.

Marissa Joelle, a professional performer, is the current Mrs. Universe Philippines Japan. An empowered Filipina who lives in Japan for 35 years, Marissa was a scholar of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila where she took up BS mass communication, major in advertising and theater performing arts.

When she joined Inrayog Folkloric Dance Group Philippines, she found her new advocacy to promote and preserve Filipino culture with her talent. She never stopped in her passion for performance; she vows to continue performing – with the beat of the music deep inside her heart. She believes, "You must grow in your passion, never stop performing, pray for wisdom and God’s perfect timing.”

Last Sept. 7, at Crowne Plaza, Grand Ballroom, she modeled at Fashion Forte wearing Toni Kimpo’s creation with her theme, "Rise of Phoenix."

Marissa is currently busy in Japan preparing for the Mrs Universe pageant. She is also one of the lead stars for the upcoming film BL (Boy Love) Series entitled “On-Line In Love" that will be directed by Jag Cruz from Mabuhay PH Digital Network.

This will be her first time to have an acting role, and Direk Jag said, “I have full confidence in Marissa Joelle’s acting talent, I’m sure she will do great on the film series. Maganda siya sa screen at natural sa kanya ang pagiging artista.” The press conference will be held in Manila during the first week of October 2023.

Activities for the Mrs. Universe 2023 pageant will begin on Oct. 4. The finals will be held at the Newport World Resorts on Oct. 13. Megastar Production Company is the organizer behind the pageant.
