New Revillame show to premiere on TV5 – report
Nobody can confirm or deny whether Willie Revillame is really transferring to TV5 or not.
Willie is indisposed. Even the closest of his media coordinators are clueless (as of this writing) whether indeed, he has signed a multi-million peso deal with the network owned by Manny Pangilinan. The drumbeaters of TV5 are just as clueless.
While some went on record to deny there ever was any negotiation, some were wiser to say that on their level, they have no knowledge of such. But the others chose to say “no comment” which bolstered our belief that maybe the news was really true because it will be easier to say “no” than “no comment.”
Add it to the fact that we luckily came across some advertising people recently who confirmed that indeed, TV5 has been making the “sale” already of a Willie Revillame show on primetime TV.
Willie’s “Wowowee” franchise is owned by ABS-CBN that is why he cannot bring that name with him for his new show in his new network. But trust Willie to come up with another title, presumably bearing his name again, to signal his return.
And we also know that he will be bringing with him most of his loyal staff from “Wowowee” especially those who are not legally bound to stay in ABS-CBN. I remember he said this during his press conference, too, recently where he announced his desire to rescind the contract with ABS-CBN for the latter’s failure to make good its promise to resume his hosting chores for “Wowowee” supposedly on July 31, 2010.
For a while, we really thought Willie was transferring to GMA-7. We were privy to the “exclusive interview” arrangement which happened there just last week where he requested to be interviewed by Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco, coupled with a live patch with “24 Oras” show biz anchor Pia Guanio.
Those in the know were one in asking, why else would GMA-7 agree to an interview arrangement like this if Willie was not signing up with them? That’s why when news broke out about TV5, we were skeptical.
It has been said that Willie’s new show will premiere in October. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens.

Please be happy for our family – Krista and Niño Lim
We don’t understand why some people choose to think the worst of others and their situations.
Take Krista Ranillo-Lim’s case, for example. Krista’s wedding to her childhood friend Niño Lim, a businessman based in Los Angeles, California, remains the object of speculation by some.
The couple are now expecting their first child.
To most, this is a happy story. Past is past. What’s important is where they are today. They are married, they are in love and they are expecting to raise a family.
The bonus part for Niño is that their respective families are now in harmony and everyone is just happy for the two of them, giving them their love and support. Niño said he can’t ask for anything anymore. “I just want to make Krista happy,” he said.
But some people won’t just leave it at that. They would rather cast aspersions on the character of Niño and say that he is just a front of Manny Pacquiao, whom Krista allegedly got involved with prior to her relationship with Niño. Some are going over the top by saying that the baby Krista is carrying is really not Niño’s but Manny’s.
We’ve been talking to Niño and Krista before and after their August 8 ceremonial wedding in Long Beach, California and they are actually pleading that all these ugly rumors be put to rest. “Why can’t they just believe that this is a marriage borne out of love? There are no other people involved in this union except Krista and me. I am the father of Krista’s baby. We found each other again and we fell in love. We’re happy together. I wish they (detractors) will just wish us well and be happy for us,” Niño said during one of our conversations.

Christopher’s thankful heart
In Star Cinema’s latest offering “Sa ‘Yo Lamang” (which opens on Sept. 1), Christopher de Leon plays the role of a philandering husband who lost everything and came back to his family to rebuild what was left of his life.
Boyet describes this role as “something I haven’t done before. I was surrounded by anger and that was the kind of thing I had to deal with in every scene. That was very new to me.”
“The character I play was down and out, zero, humbled and stooping down for understanding and love. Medyo iba yun sa mga nagawa ko na. And since iniwan ko ang pamilya ko, pagbalik ko galit sila sa akin. You’ll see in the movie’s trailer that scene where Bea confronts me and she was really mad in that scene. I don’t know who she was seeing but she was really mad. What I’m trying to say is, that was the kind of anger that I had to deal with for this role. That is very new.”
Yes, he has played a husband and a father so many times over in most of his films and television appearances, but Boyet said being directed by Laurice Guillen in this Star Cinema anniversary offering (in the tradition of “Tanging Yaman”), gave him a totally different kind of experience. “It was really exhausting at times but it was great,” he said.
Boyet’s co-actors in the movie that centers on family are Lorna Tolentino, Diether Ocampo, Coco Martin, Zanjoe Marudo, Shaina Magdayao, Enchong Dee, Miles Ocampo, Lauren Young and Bea Alonzo.
Boyet said movies like this bring you to thinking about your own family. “It makes you appreciate your family more. In my case, I love my family so much because it gives me purpose. It gives me direction. They give me something to live for. Without them, I’m a goner just like in the past.”
The still very much good-looking actor said, “being a father and a husband entail sacrifices. I know that a real man takes good care of his family and it is essential for a man to be able to do this, even to sacrifice his own desires and comforts just to make them happy.”
