New database design for Lake Mainit
SURIGAO CITY – In its desire to continue helping the local communities for economic growth, the Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program (PACAP) step up its series of training on databank designing introducing the Basic and Advance Microsoft Access 2007 operations.
It was learned Sunday that the Lake Mainit Development Alliance (LMDA) in cooperation with PACAP through the Philippine Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (PhilDHRRA) have already started their series of training to the towns around Lake Mainit.
Agusan del Norte Gov. Erlpe John Amante and Surigao del Norte Gov. Sol F. Matugas are both elated of this new development, saying in unison “an economic development to local communities.”
The first set of Basic Microsoft Access 2007 Operations training was successfully conducted on June and last month where LMDA personnel headed by LMDA Director Kaiser B. Recabo Jr. along with LMDA Deputy Director and Provincial Project Evaluation Officer Emilio S. Pantejo, Omar Barillo, Gilbert Leopoldo and Johnny Natad.
Participants coming from 12 local government units (LGUs) attended the series of training-workshops.
The LGU participants came from the municipalities of Tubay, Santiago, Jabonga, Kitcharao, all in Agusan del Norte province, and Alegria, Mainit and Tubod, all of Surigao del Norte province. These towns are located at the side of Lake Mainit.
Paul Baang, project manager of PhilDHRRA, lead the training facilitators along with Jay Medrano, Janielou Alamin and Rejean Zulueta.
Fundamental concepts of the series of trainings is on how to create tables, forms, and reports and how to create simple database using Microsoft Access 2007 were the major highlights of the said training-workshop.
