There were a total of seven hostages taken to the Manila Doctors Hospital in UN Avenue Tuesday. Four were dead on arrival and were transferred to Camp Krame early 10:15 am.
One of them, male and 20 years old suffered from a depressed fracture of the skull and is now in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) recovery room.
Moreover, two others were described by Hospital Director Pilar Nenuco Almira as "doing very well" and are currently admitted in the hospital. She also said that the patients were "lucid," though they were not able to talk to them regarding their harrowing experience because the hospital's main concern was to ensure their recovery.
Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim has said that during his meeting last night with President Noynoy Aquino, the President has instructed the Department of Social Welfare and Developement (DSWD) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to render "full assistance" to the victims and their families. He even shared that DSW-Manila Chief Jay Dela Fuente has helped one of the victims, a 15 year old girl with American name "Tracy" become reunited with her brother and cousin. The girl was brought to Justice Abad Santos Hospital and there received treatments and even psychological consultation. Dela Fuente then escorted Tracy to be reunited with her family.
