A 29-year-old man was killed when he was run over by an 18-wheeler truck in Manila early Tuesday.

The fatality was identified as Rommel Maganes, supposedly a personnel of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

SPO2 Marco Saunar, of the Manila Police District (MPD) Traffic Enforcement Unit said that the incident happened along Legarda St. in Manila.

The victim was then onboard a motorcycle with his brother, when they almost collided with a truck.

Eventually, the victim lost control of the handle bars and was thrown off the motorcycle. He fell underneath the wheels of the truck and was crushed.

Traffic investigators immediately took custody of the driver of the truck to conduct a more thorough investigation from the case.
