Special editions of Isuzu vehicles were the stars in the booth of Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) during the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) last week.

The special-edition ebony black D-Max, with a black-and-red leather interior, a 2-DIN touch-screen entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and GPS navigation, floor/key illumination, a scuff plate, bed-liner, and taillight garnish – attracted many motor show visitors. Sitting with that D-Max was a sterling silver D-Max 4x4 LT.

There was also a special-edition magma red Sportivo, boasting a single-disc in-dash audio-video system with a seven-inch touch-screen LCD and GPS navigation, as well as a Carryboy roof rack. The third special-edition Isuzu vehicle on display was a starry black Alterra equipped with a 2-DIN touch-screen entertainment package (also with Bluetooth connectivity and GPS navigation), a ceiling-mounted LCD monitor, a front chin, and a rear chin.

An alpine white, 16-seater NHR Microbus and an alpine white NKR truck powered by a Euro 2-compliant 4.6-liter turbodiesel engine – completed the IPC display.

IPC President Ryoji Yamazaki said: “For several years now, Isuzu in the Philippines has been producing and selling locally assembled vehicles, such as the Crosswind, the D-Max, and our light- and medium-duty trucks.

Ninety percent of the vehicles that we sell are locally assembled – made by Filipinos for Filipinos. We also source parts and components that are locally available, thereby contributing to the Philippine economy. We intend to continue this in our effort to help uplift the domestic manufacturing industry.”
