Six boat passengers were rescued by elements of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) after their motor boat was partially submerged in seawater off Minasawa Island in Patnungan, Quezon.
The incident report released by the Coast Guard Action Center (CGAC) in Manila Saturday identified the rescued passengers as Jeffrey Mabeza, Arnel Roldan, Rene Bergonio, Cristian Bergonio, Jomalig Quezon, and Maxima Bantucan.
Probers said the boat, identified as M/B Reymark, was hammered by big waves which caused it to capsize. The boat captain and the passengers were safely brought back by PCG personnel to Patnungan town.
