Manila, Philippines - Comedian Joey de Leon is not keen to comment on former rival Willie Revillame’s rumored bid to transfer to GMA-7.

"Wala naman akong magagawa. Hindi naman ako nasa posisyon ng management," De Leon said.

The “Eat Bulaga” host’s reserved stance on the former “Wowowee” host’s seemingly all-too-wobbly predicament comes as a surprise to many since both engaged in a word war of sorts when their shows were racing for ratings supremacy.

At the height of their quarrel, De Leon called Revillame names as “walang modo” and “napakayaman sa kaistupiduhan.”

Although he was always too cautious in hitting back at De Leon, who he admitted to be among those who helped him get his start in show business, Revillame once averred that due to the constant criticism, he has lost respect for De Leon, a man he once considered his “supreme idol.”

The two eventually made up but their friendship remained shaky as evidenced in various interviews.

Meanwhile, further fueling speculation that De Leon resents Revillame’s supposed entry to the GMA camp is his absence in last Saturday’s episode of “Startalk TX,” which many deemed was related somewhat to the rumor.

But De Leon refuted this and continued to defend Revillame. In a recent interview, De Leon even wished the latter well with his “trials.”
