Canon launches new PIXMA Printers with sleek design and improved performance
Canon’s wide range of PIXMA All-In-One (AIO) and single function photo printers represent fast performance, high quality, and thoughtful features that simply let users do more with ease. Building on these core strengths, Canon has updated its PIXMA emblem and introduced sleek new designs to improve performance, including new features such as full HD Movie Print, and Flickr online photo album integration.
PIXMA MG5270: Best Balance of Performance and Versatility
For homes and offices, the PIXMA MG5270 offers cost-efficient features such as individual colour ink tanks, 2.4-inch TFT LCD screens with a convenient Scroll Wheel interface that puts controls at one’s fingertips and memory card slots, direct printing and scanning.
Print quality is ultra-sharp and virtually grain-free with minimum 1 picolitre (pl) ink droplet sizes, and up to 9600 x 2400 dpi. The PIXMA MG5270 takes just 20 seconds and 39 seconds respectively to print a borderless 4 x 6” photo, and approximately 11.0ipm and 9.7ipm (images per minute) for monochrome and 9.3ipm and 6.1ipm for colour A4 sized document prints respectively. The MG5270 features optical scan resolutions of 2400 x 4800 dpi, and 1200 x 2400 respectively.
The MG5270 prints images directly from PictBridge-compatible digital cameras, including memory cards, and USB flash storage such as thumb drives. The PIXMA MG5270 has the added advantage of Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing multiple computers to share a single printer on the same wireless network. Photos can be printed wirelessly from an iPhone or iPod Touch.
PIXMA MP497: AIO functionality at incredible price point
Value-conscious consumers who seek the convenience of an integrated AIO solution will find the perfect fit for their needs in the PIXMA MP497. Compact and stylish, this AIO printer offers excellent performance and value.
Capable of sharp prints up to 4800 x 1200 dpi, with minimum 2pl ink droplet sizes. The MP497 takes just 41 seconds and 43 seconds respectively to print a borderless 4 x 6” photo. For documents, the MP497 takes approximately 8.8ipm and 5.0ipm for monochrome and colour documents respectively, while the MP287 prints at 8.4ipm and 4.8ipm. Offering added convenience, the PIXMA MP497 is also wireless for sharing over a Wi-Fi network or printing directly from the iPhone or iPod Touch.
PIXMA iP4870: Focused on high photo quality, fast printing
For users who do not require scanning features, the PIXMA iP4870 is a powerhouse of print quality and performance. With min 1pl ink droplets with ultra-sharp 9600 x 2400 dpi prints and five-colour individual ink tanks, the PIXMA iP4870 is equipped for top print quality. Performance is just as stellar: the PIXMA iP4870 can print a borderless 4x6” photo in approximately 20 seconds, achieving approximately 11.0ipm and 9.3ipm for monochrome and colour A4 sized document prints respectively.
It even comes complete with Canon’s full Advanced Media Handling capabilities featuring Auto Duplex Printing, 2-Way Paper Feeding as well as direct printing on to CD/DVDs for that extra personalised touch.
