Dwight Ramos has decided to extend his stay with Division I team Levanga Hokkaido for the 2023-24 season of the Japan B.League, the team announced on social media on Tuesday, June 6.
Ramos, who averaged 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals in the previous season, has been playing in the neighboring country since 2021 after forgoing his last year of eligibility in the UAAP.
The 24-year-old guard and the Levanga finished with a lopsided 19-41 record in the standings in the past season.
“Thank you for always supporting Levanga Hokkaido with all green. We are pleased to announce that Levanga Hokkaido has agreed to a player contract with Dwight Ramos for the 2023-24 season,” the post said.
“Ramos joined Levanga Hokkaido in the 2022-23 season. Strength, speed, agility and all physical ability values are high, and I contributed to the team with a play that breaks through the situation in offense and defense, such as fast breaks from steel and various scoring patterns,” added the post.
With his contract extension, Ramos is expected to bring the Levanga to a much better finish next season.
