Here is the latest news for the Twi-hards. It looks like Summit Entertainment is going to be a Rottweiler on the Twilight franchise: it’s not going to stop until all of the Twilight books have their movie adaptations.

Rumors say that Summit may be planning to make Stephenie Meyer’s novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner into a movie. The novella tells the story of newborn vampire Bree Tanner’s second life until she was killed on the order of Dakota Fanning’s character Jane. Bree briefly appeared in the third Twilight book Eclipse and was played by Jodelle Ferland in the movie of the same title.

According to What’s Playing, a tipster, who can be considered reliable, as s/he works for Summit, sent them an email saying, “It goes without saying Summit want to continue this franchise… Tanner is the one they’re looking at post-Breaking Dawn.”

The email also said that casting has not been done yet, but there is a chance that the lead role will be played by bigger names, like Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass, Let Me In) and Dakota’s sister Elle Fanning.

So what do you think of this possibility?
