QC Police Get First Aid Training
MANILA, Philippines – Apart from being able to respond to crimes, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has also started training its personnel to conduct first aid.
The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) Quezon City Chapter launched Monday a First Aider Response training program at the QCPD Headquarters in Camp Tomas Karingal.
PNRC QC Director Nesty Isla said, “This project is basically aimed at training and developing policemen in every police station to render first aid especially to victims of accidents in roads, homes or in the workplace.”
QCPD director Chief Superintendent Benjardi Mantele welcomed the program and expressed gratitude to the PNRC for training the police.
During demonstrations at Camp Karingal, first aiders from PNRC QC showed the skills and capabilities that policemen could learn, including responding to victims in an assumed head-on collision of vehicles. (Jeffrey Damicog)
