A fire gutted a warehouse in Valenzuela City on Thursday, Sept. 28.


The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire that hit the warehouse of Herco Trading, a hardware distribution company on G. Molina Street, Bagbaguin Road, Valenzuela City, was raised to the first alarm at around 12:30 p.m. It went up to the second alarm at around 12:32 p.m.
The fire status was escalated to the third alarm at around 12:52 p.m. and reached the fourth alarm by 1:06 p.m.
The BFP said that the fire reached the fifth alarm at 1:35 p.m.
The fire reached the task force Alpha at 2:03 p.m. and by 3:40 p.m. it reached the task force bravo.
As of this writing, the blaze has yet to be extinguished by the firefighters.
Meanwhile, Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie "Wes" Gatchalian ordered a preemtive evacuation of the residents near the warehouse.
According to Public Information Office (PIO), affected families are currently taking temporary shelter at evacuation sites at A. Mariano Elementary School, Old Barangay Hall-Bagbaguin, and Paso De Blas 3S Center.
