73 arrested, illegal drugs seized in series of raids in Bulacan
Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) conducted by the Bulacan Philippine National Police (PNP) led to the arrest of 73 law violators and the seizure of more than P392,000 worth of illegal drugs on Tuesday, June 21.
Acting Bulacan Provincial Police Office (BPPO) Director Col. Charlie A. Cabradilla said a series of anti-drug sting operations by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEU) of the Angat, Baliwag, Bulakan, Calumpit, Hagonoy, Malolos City, Marilao, Meycauayan City, Norzagaray, Plaridel, Pulilan, City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM), San Rafael, San Miguel, Sta. Maria and San Ildefonso police stations resulted in the arrest of 33 drug individuals and in the recovery of 120 sachets of suspected shabu and 10 sachets of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.
Arrested was Jhonlee Lugan, tagged as the most wanted in Pulilan for violation of RA 10883, the "New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016." Also arrested were 10 suspects by the tracker teams of the 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Plaridel, Marilao, Norzagaray, and CSJDM police.
A series of anti-illegal gambling operations conducted by 1st and 2nd PMFC, Bulakan, San Ildefonso, Pandi, Marilao, and CSJDM PS also led to the arrest of 30 individuals. They were caught in the act of engaging in different illegal gambling activities including card games "pusoy," "tong-its," and "cara y cruz." The recovered pieces of evidence included sets of playing cards, three one-peso coins, and bet-money in different denominations.
Cabradilla said this notable accomplishment of the Bulacan police in the SACLEOs of PRO 3 is a manifestation of its unyielding effort and relentless campaign against all forms of criminal and nefarious activities.
