Teen arrested for peddling marijuana in Quezon

SAN ANTONIO, Quezon – Police arrested a 17-year-old Grade 11 student and seized suspected marijuana worth P2,000 in a buy-bust operation here on Wednesday, April 19. The suspect was apprehended after he sold a plastic sachet of marijuana weighing 5.3 grams to a poseur-buyer at 6:20 p.m. Being a minor, the suspect was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for processing. Police reminded parents to keep an eye on their children and immediately surrender them to authorities if they are involved in the use or sale of illegal drugs. This way, police said, their children can be given the necessary intervention and rehabilitation before they end up in more serious situation.
