Cavite Readies 'Oplan Undas;' Baguio Has 'Oplan Kaluluwa'
BACOOR, Cavite/BAGUIO CITY — Police and civilian enforcers will be on the streets in Cavite to implement the security and traffic “Oplan Undas” as the mountain resort city of Baguio prepares for the influx of tourists with its “Oplan Kaluluwa.”
Bacoor Traffic and Parking Management Division Chief Geronimo B. del Rosario said 79 traffic enforcers have been deployed in Barangay Talaba and on Aguinaldo Highway this early to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
Superintendent Redrico A. Maranan, Bacoor police chief, said the police officers and men were also assigned in the area to stand guard against criminal elements.
Civic organizations and some motorcycle groups will, likewise, set up emergency action centers on highways on All Saints' Day to assist motorists with driving problems or hassles.
Bacoor, a first-class urban municipality, is the so-called gateway to Metro Manila and inner Cavite which is set to host many holidaymakers particularly in Tagaytay City during the long weekend.
The same goes for Baguio City, which is expected to receive an influx of tourists and visitors to different cemeteries here.
The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) has finalized a traffic re-routing scheme around Naguilian Road, the main road that leads to the Baguio public cemetery, and other major roads where private cemeteries are located to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and ensure convenience among those who want to visit their dead loved ones.
