Go said he is happy that they now have something in common.
“I am very proud of my son. I can’t describe the happiness I am feeling right now. It just so happens that both of us ranked 3rd—when I ran during the elections, while he just took the) CPA licensure exams,” Go said in a statement.
His son, Christian Lawrence Go, who graduated at the De La Salle University - Manila, got 89.50 percent and ranked third of 2,075 who passed out of 14,492 who took the CPA board exam.
Go also recognized his son’s sacrifices to achieve his goal.
After years of studying, your sacrifices finally paid off. As a father, I have no other dream but to see my children become successful. I hope he would be more successful in life),” he stressed.
At the same time, Go congratulated other CPA Board passers and hoped they would use their profession to contribute much for the country.
“I’m also happy that we now have a new roster of certified public accountants. I hope our new CPA passers would use their profession for nation-building)” he said.
“Congratulations sa lahat ng passers and may you all practice your new profession conscientiously,” Go added.
