Emma Watson and Alberta Ferretti to make organic clothing line
While in the midst of promoting the newest Harry Potter installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I, and attending Brown University, Emma Watson was already planning her next steps.
And while most of us would want to see her star in a movie outside the Harry Potter series, it’s not the next thing for her yet. But this next step is about something she loves doing.
According to UsMagazine.com, the Harry potter star will be collaborating with designer Alberta Ferreti to create a clothing line.
Watson tells Us:
"We are doing an organic clothing range. I can't reveal the name yet but there will be more information about it soon."
She, however, revealed that the line will be inspired by British actress Jane Birkin and will be ‘very classic.’
It was Ferreti who approached Watson about the project after learning about her involvement with People Tree, which supported fair trade.
"She wrote to me and said, 'I saw what you did with People Tree and I think it's a great idea and will you do something with me?'”
…"I will put it out there that I will work for anyone for free if they are prepared to make their clothing fair trade organic."
According to Watson, the collection will come out ‘just after Christmas’ before the last Harry Potter is released.
