Starting April 24, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) will deploying147 newly hired immigration officers (IOs) for on-site training at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said they will augment the agency’s manpower at the premiere port in time for the increase of passengers this summer.
He said that upon completion of their training, they will be distributed to different airports and offices of the BI nationwide.
“Apart from theoretical trainings, we want to improve other skills of our frontliners, like communication and conflict resolution, which are very important in the conduct of their duties,” said Tansingco.
