“Pilipinas Got Talent” winner of the grand prize, Jovit Baldivino, has released his second album entitled “I’d Do Anything For Love” which is expected to attain a similar popularity like his first album, “Faithfully,” which attained a Gold label three weeks after release and then to Platinum after six months!

His second album features the following songs: “I Can Wait Forever,” “Carrie,” “I’d Do Anything For Love,” “Please Forgive Me,” “Mahal Pa Rin Kita,” “Making Love Out Of Nothing At All,” “Nananaginip Ng Gising,” “Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin,” “Total Eclipse Of The Heart,” and “Alam Kong Di Ako, Okay Lang.”

Jovit’s passion for music is tremendous that every time he performs, the audience is so enthralled with joy!
“I started singing when I was three years old,” Jovit said. He belongs to a poor family – practically “isang kahig, isang tuka,” as they say in Tagalog.

His father was a “piece worker,” his mother was a plain housewife.

With his winning the grand prize, some significant changes were made in his life. He is now aiming to buy a house and lot for his family.

He now drives his own car, and he has already travelled outside the country, like in Australia and Singapore where he performed in Filipino communities who gave him a warm welcome.

His first album, “Faithfully,” has occupied the No. 1 spot in the OPM Charts of Odyssey Music & Video, the top music and video store in the country, since its release in July and up to the present.

His second album occupies the second spot in the charts of the same music and video store.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN “Bida Kapamilya” entertained Marikeños recently with a concert at the River Bank malls. The concert is the fourth of a series of concerts which “Bida Kapamilya” is undertaking in various cities of the country.

Perforners during the last concert were Cristine Reyes, Zanjoe Marudo, Rayver Cruz, XB Gensan, and Kim Chiu.

Forthcoming concerts of “Bida Kapamilya” will be held in SM Iloilo with Aaron Atayde as performers. In the Cebu Gaisano Mall, performers will be Jodi Sta. Maria, Kaye Abad, Paul Jake Guzman, among others.

Carol shares life via newest album

Carol Banawa, who’s been based in the US ever since she got married to a military man (they now have a three-year-old daughter named Chelsea who also loves to sing), released recently her newest album under Star Records. Through the album entitled “My Music, My Life,” Carol shares a piece of her life.

A certified platinum hitmaker, Carol is here for the holidays. “It was my husband who suggested that I spend Christmas here para makasama ko family ko especially my father.” He’s the reason she came home because he was sick. But while here, Carol suggested to Ms. Annabelle Regalado-Borja that she cut an album “kasi na-miss ko talaga ang kumanta and since I’m here, the idea to do an album just popped into my head.”

“The songs included in the track list are connected with my personal experiences kaya parang diary ko na rin siya,” Carol said. One of the quotes shared by Carol for the song “Mahal Kita Walang Iba” is “When I met my husband, sabi ko sa sarili ko, eto na naman ako, iibig na naman, but LOVE is a risk. When we allow ourselves to become vulnerable, to be take chances and to risk our pride, that is when we find great love.”

The songs in “My Music, My Life,” which is line produced by Black Bird Music, a sub-label of Star Records headed by Aiza Seguerra, are “Baby, Now That I Have You,” “When You Say Nothing At All,” “If,” “I Honestly Love You,” “Sakaling Malimutan Ka,” “Love Story,” “The First Time I Loved Forever,” “When I Fall In Love,” “Mahal Kita Walang Iba.”

Carol took a hiatus from her singing career in August 2003 when she accompanied her father for medical treatment in the US. However, her hit songs, including “Tanging Yaman,” “Stay,” “Iingatan Ka,” “Bakit Di Totohanin,” and “Panunumpa” still enjoy airplay on radio.
