By Raffy Paredes Here are today’s featured readers and their photos. The untitled photo of a beach front with some military troops comes from hobbyist and aspiring photographer, Diadem Kee Paderes. He writes that he took the photo during Boracay Island’s dry run opening dubbed as Aklan Day Salubungan. From Djeszelynne Salud of Ilocos Norte is an untitled photo of a couple of farmers hurriedly carrying their produce to safety as typhoon Ompong approached the Ilocos region. Lennox Lente sent in “Pancho, a Cat or a Dog?” an amusing photo of his British Shorthair cat. Miguel Alberto from Binangonan, Rizal and a member of Camera Club of Angono shares the silhouette photo titled “Overlook the Horizon.” “Looking at the horizon gives me an idea of endless possibilities, a never-ending possibility,” writes Miguel. Sergz Diaz contributed the photo, “The Dancers.” His description reads: “A group of teachers showcasing their street dancing prowess during the annual celebration of AbaNiCo Festival of the municipality of Mondragon, Northern Samar. AbaNiCo is coined from the words abaca, nipa, and copra as the dominant sources of living among the folks of the municipality.” The night photo titled “Bangketa”  comes from Bien Bacarra Jr. “I already spotted this scene a week ago but it was already late around 12 a.m.,” shares Bien. “Yesterday I decided to go to the place at 8 p.m. while there was still heavy traffic. The overpass was shaking a little due to vehicles passing underneath resulting in blurry shots above two seconds. The photo was only at one second exposure using my phone cam, my hand rested steadily on a steel fence.” Manny Gacuma submitted the photo, “Bangus Harvest in Dagupan.” Marc Jolas Aquino of the Registrar Office of Our Lady of Fatima University-Antipolo Campus sent in the seascape photo, “In Progress...” Photo was taken in Tanza, Cavite. From Cyrus Nash Mendez is an untitled top view photo of a local indigenous weaver in Zamboanga. And Denzel Eileen DC Evangelista shares her photo titled “Masskara Festival” with the following description: “Masskara Festival of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental (City of Smiles) is celebrated during the month of October. It is one of the tourist attractions during this month. Lots of activities like street dance competition, Masskara parade, and plaza arena dance competition are held in this festival.” Readers may now view issues of Picture Perfect including this column at https://lifestyle.mb.com.ph/category/picture-perfect/.
