If she is predicted to be a big star in the near future, it is because Andi Eigenmann has the talent and looks to be one. Considering also that she is the daughter of acclaimed and awarded actors Mark Gil and Jaclyn Jose, Andi is indeed destined for greatness in the realm of acting.

In her first project with ABS-CBN, the fantaserye “Agua Bendita,” Andi instantly gained fame and popularity. She proved her acting mettle as she played a dual role with contrasting personalities in that top-rating TV series.

Regal Entertainment took the cue and banked on Andi’s irresistible charm with the male audience when it cast Jaclyn Jose’s daughter in the “Isla Engkanto” episode of “Shake, Rattle & Roll XII,” the 12th installment in the outfit’s blockbuster horror franchise.

In “Isla Engkanto,” Andi plays a depressed, love-stricken young lass who hies off to a remote island to soul search and find new love in the arms of Mr. Right.

Little did she know that the island she has chosen is a haven of dark creatures who pose as fairies and who serve the chief of the Engkantos.

One scene takes off from an “Agua Bendita” scenario where Andi makes use of the sea to determine her fate in love. But instead of her finding true love, the Engkanto chief finds and falls madly in love with her.

The production staff working with the young actress on the film shares some bit of interesting stories during their time in the island. Before a take, they say, Andi would act and move so mysteriously.

“Meron siyang isang lugar na laging pinupuntahan bago sumalang sa shooting. Nang minsang puntahan siya ng staff, nakita si Andi na parang may kausap at dumarating sa puntong nakikipagharutan pa siya.’’

Find out the truth about this creepy tale when “Shake, Rattle & Roll XII” opens in theaters as part of this year’s MMFF on Christmas Day.

Gary V. live at Eastwood, Mckinley

After the phenomenal success of his historic collaboration with Martin Nievera in the Manila repeat of their groundbreaking concert “AS 1” and his much awaited comeback that happened last September at Music Museum in his solo series “Soul In Motion,” Gary Valenciano returns to the concert stage in a series of free concerts at Eastwood Mall Open Park on Dec. 10 (7 p.m.) and at Mckinley Hill Venice Piazza on Dec. 11 (8 p.m.).

This series is also in line with the mainstream release of his current full-length, studio album under Universal Records entitled “Replay.”

It should be noted that “Replay” is Gary V’s 25th full-length studio album under Universal Records.

Some may consider the song selections in “Replay” to have been overshadowed or upstaged by the other certified hit songs of Gary V, hence they are somewhat overlooked.

This time, these songs take the spotlight in “Replay” and it is interesting to know that these songs are as relevant today as when they were recorded several years ago.

Some of the 17 digitally re-mastered tracks included in “Replay” are “One Hello,” “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo,” “And I Love You So,” “Home,” “Tell Me,” “Kailan Pa,” “Alam Ko Na,” and “More and More” among many other romantic and unforgettable songs.
