RIZAL REVAMPS POLICE FORCE
RIZAL PROVINCE, Philippines — A new round of revamp is expected this week affecting the leadership of various police stations under the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO).
A reliable source told Manila Bulletin that several chiefs-of-police will likely be replaced in the first reshuffle of police officials this year.
The source refused to reveal the names of the officials who will be sacked but hinted that the revamp is reportedly happening starting Tuesday. At least three police stations are reportedly likely to be affected by the initial phase of revamp of police officials this new year.
A few weeks before 2010 ended, the chiefs-of-police of Cainta, Taytay, and San Mateo police stations were replaced. The impending revamp in the PPO came as unsolved crimes are reportedly increasing since the end of 2010.
A victim of one of the recent robberies in this province told Manila Bulletin that they are hoping that the hierarchy of the PNP in Camp Crame would open their eyes and consider sacking a ranking official of the PPO who is alleged to be spending most of his time playing “tong-its”, a popular card game, with his subordinates instead of finding a solution to the growing number of crimes in the province.
