San Juan and Mandaluyong were the first cities in Metro Manila to have adjusted to the new alert level system (ALS), according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA); while the Civil Service Commission (CSC) extended the work-from-home arrangement under Alert Level 4 in the metropolis.

And the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is mulling the extension of voting hours in the May 2022 polls to accommodate as many votes as possible under new norms dictated by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
