Ines shares his photo of firemen titled “Roger That.” “I have here a photo that I love so much, the drama, mood, and decisiveness of the moment,” he writes. “I posted this in my National Geographic Your Shot account, and it was chosen as one of The Daily Dozen shot. Matt Adams gave this comment: ‘This is a great quiet moment, documenting a difficult day of fighting fires. The added detail of the men in the background worked but I also liked the placement of the empty water bottle. It’s a small detail like that which can make an image interesting.” From John Kirby Dinglasan, a student of the Laguna State Polytechnic University- San Pablo City Campus is the photo of a yellow chick which he titled “Fiesta.” His reason for the title: “Because in every fiesta in our place, the colored chicks are the most familiar things to sell. Every child waits for the colorful chicks to care for in their home.” Nasser Hadjula, a graduate from Western Mindanao State University and a registered nurse sent in “Burbujas De Mar,” a photo taken from a ship at sea. He shares: “Traveling photography is one of my favorite genres of photography because I am fascinated with capturing natural scenes. It is where you enjoy your travel and aim for a good shot at the same time. I captured this photo when I was traveling with my friends by ship from Zamboanga City to Malamawi White Beach in Isabela, Basilan.” Ruby Ross Morillo (or Ryoss Morillo) submitted the black-and-white photo of the Taipei Main Train Station. “This photo was taken when I visited my younger sister in Taoyuan, Taiwan last May,” writes Ryoss. “Adding a quote to the photo is my favorite part and the quote that I added is: ‘The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once,’ from Albert Einstein.” The photo, “Jump High” comes from Shane Francisco. She shares: “Magkababata po sila. Ngayon lang nakapag-outing with their kids and wife. Kahit mga pamilyado na, friends pa rin sila. On June 9, kasagsagan ng sama ng panahon. Pero dahil planado na ito, itinuloy pa rin namin. Nagdasal na lang kami na sana ligtas kami. At ‘di naman kami pinabayaan ni Lord.” Vinod Thomas contributed the photo titled “A Provincial Wedding.” “It was by chance I was asked to come in to this beautiful wedding in the majestic church of San Ildefonso de Toledo, or simply called Tanay church, in the province of Rizal,” writes Vinod. Ailyn Reyes Copes sent in the photo titled “Missing the Old Rock Days.” From Katrina Diesta is an untitled macro shot of a leaf insect. Jin de la Cruz shares an untitled landscape photo with pink flowers in the foreground taken in Gamagori, Japan. And the black-and-white photo, “Young Patriots” comes from Alvin Conde, mobile photography hobbyist from Meycauayan, Bulacan.
