QC sets 'iPAD' service in medical center
MANILA, Philippines – The Quezon City government Wednesday unveiled the information public assistance desk (iPAD) at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) to facilitate the delivery of medical services to the public.
Rep. Jorge “ Bolet’’ Banal of the city’s third district who is the proponent of the project attended the event with councilors Jaime Borres, Allan Reyes and Gian Sotto, QMMC officers and local officials.
In the past QMMC patients mostly coming from the poor sector have complained of their inability to reach out to local officials and other concerned groups concerning their medical needs.
Banal said that the 50 volunteers of the iPAD will be on duty 24 hours a day seven days a week to ensure that all patients are attended to immediately and given appropriate health and medical attention.
“Even indigent patients deserve medical care that is why the iPAD was launched to provide them their needed assistance,’’ Banal said.
