Enrique Gil reacts to Liza Soberano skipping his film premiere
By Neil Ramos
In the glitzy realm of entertainment, premiere nights are much-anticipated events inasmuch as these, more often than not, showcase the stars at their finest.
The recent red-carpet premiere of Enrique Gil's film "I Am Not Big Bird" was no different.
Tons of stars were present, lending the shindig the usual "glam" feels.
There was one who was noticeably absent though: Liza Soberano.
Only days earlier, Enrique was quite optimistic she would be able to make time for it, noting how Liza is set to fly home a day prior.
Well, she made it here alright but opted to attend another event.
Did Enrique feel bad about it?
Well, if he did, he was quite good at hiding it.

In fact, he was only too quick to downplay the whole situation, saying that he "perfectly understands" Liza's absence given how "busy" she is.
In contrast, Enrique made sure to attend the screening of "Lisa Frankenstein" some days ago, even if Liza herself was in LA.
As sad and pathetic it all seems, Enrique keeps adding to it insisting that he and Liza are still an item only that they are focusing on their own journeys.
But with Liza suspiciously quiet about it, conjecture regarding the real state of their relationship persists.
For most, it seems that Enrique is the only one holding on to the idea and dearly so, while Liza it seems couldn't err, care less anymore.
So, what gives?
In the whirlwind of celebrity life, where schedules often clash and priorities shift, it's so easy to rush to conclusions.
But it's essential to remember that behind the glitz and glamour, Liza and Enrique are individuals. Their professional achievements stand independently of their personal lives.
And that's that.
